The SMA Sunny Tripower Hybrid X 5 is a three-phase hybrid inverter designed for installers building residential PV systems with battery storage. It combines solar production, battery charging and intelligent energy management in a single device, so no separate controller is required. With 5 kW of nominal power, 5 kVA of apparent power and three independent MPP trackers, it handles complex roofs with several orientations, partial shading or unequal string lengths.
