The LFP (LiFePO4) cells are designed for daily cycling with high round-trip efficiency, and the system can be extended up to 12 modules — 49.12 kWh — within two years of commissioning. The tower is assembled without inter-module cabling: modules stack mechanically onto the BMS Unit, which handles cell monitoring, balancing and communication with the inverter. Natural cooling means there is nothing to service, IP66 protection allows indoor or outdoor installation, and an LED shows the state of charge. Assembled, the pack measures 530 × 405 × 601 mm and weighs 120 kg. It pairs with the SMA Sunny Tripower Hybrid X and Sunny Boy Smart Energy hybrid inverters to maximise self-consumption and, with the SMA Backup solution, to supply the home during grid outages.
